Before her successful coaching career, she was a premier athlete at Central Michigan University, where she earned All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) honors and set school records for shot-blocking in basketball. Her transition from an elite collegiate competitor to a championship-winning coach.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Ann to the Timberwolves family," said the NCMC Athletic Director, Ashley Antonishen. "Her proven track record of championship performances makes her the ideal leader to continue the winning culture we are building here at North Central. Beyond the X's and O's, Ann is deeply committed to player development and the growth of the whole student-athlete. She understands that true success means mentoring these young women to excel on and off the court, ensuring they are prepared for life long after their final match.”

Building for the Future

As NCMC continues to establish itself as a top contender in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA), Skufca is committed to cultivating a high-intensity competitive program and strengthen the recruitment of future Timberwolf student-athletes. Her approach centers on creating an environment where student-athletes are challenged to reach their maximum potential daily.

"I am honored to join North Central Michigan College and lead these talented young women," Skufca said. "The energy on this campus is palpable, and I look forward to building a culture of excellence, discipline, and community pride on the court."

Coach Skufca will be on campus later this spring to work with the team and begun her full time duties within the athletic department.
