Women’s Basketball Has Strong Start against Milwaukee Tech
Escanaba, MI – The Timberwolves (2-7) travelled to Bay College for the Terrace Bay Hotel Holiday Classic where they played their first game against the Milwaukee Area Technical College (5-5) Stormers. It was great to see the Timberwolves start strong, but a run in the middle of the 2nd Quarter by the Stormers would put a gap between the two teams as they head into the half down 25-39.
Coach Glass inspired the young Timberwolves and they came out and won the 3rd quarter, 15-14 but struggled again offensively in the last quarter and eventually lost the game against an aggressive Stormers team 71-48.
Statistical Leaders
- Evelyn VanTol (Frankfort/Frankfort) led the Timberwolves with 13 points and 9 rebounds.
- Ally Sutton (Kalkaska/Kalkaska) scored double digits when she sank 4 of her 7 attempts and nailed both of her free throws for 10 points.
