Women's Basketball Unable to Hold Off Delta's Late Rally

Petoskey, MI – The Timberwolves (3-20, 1-10) Women’s Basketball team put together a solid performance hosting Delta College (14-11, 7-4). The game saw 6 lead changes and the Pioneers and Timberwolves were tied 9 times throughout the contest. It was a tight contest but in the final quarter the injuries and fouls caught up to the Timberwolves as they saw their lead vanish.

Statistical Leaders
  • Evelyn VanTol (Frankfort/Frankfort) recorded her 8th double-double of the season with 17 points and 18 rebounds.
  • Sophomore Arika Taylor (Joliet, IL/Joliet Central) shot an impressive 55.6% for 16 points (including going 3 for 4 from behind the arc).
  • Ceara LeBlanc (Brimley/Brimley) had 13 points for the Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves host Alpena Community College on Wednesday, February 18th in North Central annual Hunger Games Event. Donations to the Campus Cupboard, the on-campus food pantry grant fans access to the game. The Timberwolves compete in the Hunger Games against the other MCCAA schools in seeing who can raise the most money and food donations.
