Timberwolves Women's Basketball Protects the Den, Handles Alpena CC 67-46
Petoskey, MI – The Timberwolves completed the season sweep over Alpena CC for the first time with a decisive home victory in which the team hit 67 points.
It was a back and forth in the first half and Alpena had the lead going into the break; however the Timberwolves came out inspired in the second half and never looked back. Cadence Cullen (St. Ignace/LaSalle) would hit viral status with the final bucket, pushing the Timberwolves score to 67.
Statistical Leaders
- Cullen led all scorers with 21 points, 17 coming in the second half.
- Evelyn VanTol (Frankfort/Frankfort) was once again strong inside with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
- Guards Gracie Jones (Newport/Jefferson) and Ceara LeBlanc (Brimley/Brimley) had 6 & 7 assists respectively. This puts LeBlanc over 100 assists in her career.

The team travels to Sidney, MI to face Montcalm Community College on Saturday before returning home for the final game of the season on Tuesday, February 24th where they host Muskegon CC and will honor their sophomores in their final game as a Timberwolf.
