Timberwolves Control From the tip - Handle Alpena CC on the Road

Alpena, MI - The Timberwolves traveled to Alpena to take on the Lumberjacks on Wednesday, January 28th. The gym was full of energy from the tip. That energy pushed Alpena out to an early 6-0 lead. It was all Timberwolves from that point on. They led by as many as 15 points in the first half. The Lumberjacks cut it to seven in the second half, but couldn't sustain as the Timberwolves ran away with it, winning with a score of 73-60.

Ceara LeBlanc (Brimley/Brimley) filled the stat sheet in route to a career night, and a record-breaking night.

Statistical Leaders

• Ceara LeBlanc scored 27 points - a personal career high; most points in a game for any Timberwolf this season; and the 4th most points scored in a game by any Timberwolf to date. She also tallied seven steals, which is the most steals in a single game in Timberwolf history; which also led to her becoming the all-time steals leader in Timberwolf history at 50 total, and counting.
• Gracie Jones (Newport/Jefferson) had a well-rounded performance, grabbing five rebounds and adding seven assists.
• Evelyn VanTol (Frankfort/Frankfort) recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points and adding 11 rebounds.
